Living Wreath Workshop

  • The Peoples Park Tavern 360 victoria park road e9 London England (map)

Join us for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where we combine the calming art of kokedama with the creativity of wreath making to craft your very own living wreath – perfect for displaying indoors or out.

Rooted in Japanese tradition, kokedama involves wrapping a plant's roots in soil and moss to create a self-contained, living sculpture. In this workshop, we take that concept and expand it – incorporating a range of lush, low-maintenance plants like succulents, ferns, trailing vines, or hardy herbs into a circular moss base to form a living wreath that grows and evolves over time.

We’ll guide you step-by-step through building your wreath – from shaping the moss base and choosing your plants, to positioning and securing everything in place. You’ll learn basic plant care tips to keep your wreath thriving long after the workshop ends.

No experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Just bring your curiosity, enjoy the laid-back pub vibe, and maybe a drink or two as you create a beautiful, living piece of plant art to take home.
